If a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19 while at school, El Camino will follow Los Angeles Department of Public Health (LADPH) procedures.
"Executive Order (EO) N-56-20 was established on April 22, 2020, to address the impact of continued school closures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the local educational agencies’ ability to conduct meaningful annual planning, and the ability to meaningfully engage stakeholders in these processes.
EO N-56-20 issued timeline and approval waivers for the Local Control and Accountability Plan and Budget Overview for Parents as well as waving certain budgetary requirements. The Executive Order also established the requirement that a local educational agency (LEA) adopt a written report (COVID-19 Operations Written Report) explaining to its community the changes to program offerings the LEA has made in response to school closures to address the COVID-19 emergency and the major impacts of such closures on students and families." - California Department of Education website
Our goal for the 2021-22 school year is to safely bring back as many students as possible to an in-person school setting, to maximize learning and address our students’ educational needs. In order to best support our campus community, El Camino Real Charter High School(ECRCHS) has closely reviewed multiple documents pertaining to COVID-19 guidelines related to school settings and has collaborated with various agencies including the CDC, CSNO, CDE, and the LA County Public Health Department-SPA 2 (among others). Given the current prevalence of COVID-19, it is imperative to have a plan that includes multiple possibilities, with a focus first and foremost on keeping students and staff safe and healthy, maintaining continuity of instruction, ensuring access and equity, and communicating with all of the stakeholders throughout the process.
The Recovery Reopening Guidance Document details many of the steps that the school has, and will, take.
The Covid-19 Safety Plan consists of two documents.
